JUNK DEALER written by Orhan Kemal, directed by Ergün Işıldar demonstrates the generation conflicts and individual troubles within a family that gets more and more needy every day, living in a society on the way of mechanization to replace labour and craftsmanship. Junk dealer; Topal, is the grandson of a landowner. Topal is a crippled man returning from war, and the story is on his return and, his struggle together with his family on starting a new life under changing conditions. The elder son and wife goes cotton picking to Çukurova, and the family follows. The story is about people following a light of hope...
