The book was translated into Greek by Stella Christidou within the scope of the Translation Support Programme (TEDA) of Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry. It was published by Greek Kastaniotis Editions.
Kastaniotis Editions earlier published Kemal's book "Baba Evi" (My Father's House) and "Avare Yillar" (Idle Years).
Kemal's novels "Cemile" and "Arkadas Isliklari" (Friend's Whistles) will also be translated into Greek.
Orhan Kemal (1914-1970) was born in Turkish southern province of Adana. A realistic novelist Kemal wrote 51 books (including novels and stories), and died in Sofia in 1970.
